HI lads can someone give me some pointers as to how long it can take to get the hinge pins out of the door hinges and replace with new pins and bushes ,that's for 2 doors ,as I have been hit with a bill for £300 seems a bit in excess TBH any help would be great many thanks again paul

It all depends on what they have actually had to do.

Presumably the hinges would have had to be removed.
The hinges would no doubt then be bored true, bushes made to fit the hinges and pins

The hinges refitted and doors aligned

A fair bit of work involving a lathe etc.

Unless I have missed something it seems quite reasonable.

Having just viewed your profile, its a modern Griff your talking about.

The hinge pins are just long shank bolts, running in a simple plastic bush which are in a
simple angle bracket.

New hinge bolts and bushes very cheap job.

Hi lads thanks for the info,no hinges were removed just new shanks and bushes i still think its a bit steep ,shall have a word and see what they say thanks again paul
