Aerial Lead

Theres a short piece of wire coming from my aerial lead, and its been cut at some time. Should it be connected to a positive or earth?

The original aerial on my Griff ran around the outer edge of the windscreen and had an in-line amplifier in the co-ax wire close to the radio connection. If yours is like this it needs 12 volt supply (ideally fed via the 'acc' position of the ignition switch).
As the original fitting was c**p (& Mrs Tivver needed Radio 4!!) I fitted the Modwise aerial mod kit - wonderful!!

OK, wired it up to a positive connection and the reception meter on the radio shows an improvement, job done thanks.
