Where does this bit go?

Hi,

As the tittle suggests. I need to find out the location for this part in the boot. The holes match the boot catch but it won't go round the catch its self. So where does it go?

That looks like the protector cover plate for the boot lock.

On mine, it is held in place by the carpet flap and the 2 'dimples' in the smaller section slipping under the matching 'lugs' on the boot edge above the lock mechanism.

I can't easily get a pic as my car is now wrapped up for the winter.
