Well here we go basically I wanted a nice 400 but was tempted in a 4.3 then even gave up and went for a 500 ? but I stuck to my plantongue out now then to find a mint 400 to what you want is near impossible you wont find one that you wont need to spend any money on ! (well their was one but I can understand why he did not want to sell) my top line was 15k ish I found a lovely viper blue one with full off chassis refurb etc for 14.5k but I would have needed to spend another 3k + to get it somewhere to how I wanted ?

THE VERDICT

Well my thoughts buy cheap and then spend money on it to get it how you wanted it !! logic if you are prepared and have the time to do it I am in no rush so suit me fine ...

I am now the prowd owner of a 1992 4.0 Griffith on a K PLATE !! FOR JUST UNDER 7K bounce

Watch this space for all the mods and money I will be throwing at it eek

Well done! Sounds like you got one for a good price.
I did the same and bought a cheap one to bring up to my spec. Lots of the expensive ones still need a lot of work - it's just better hidden. If you do some of the work yourself, you shouldn't lose money on your investment.
