I liked the magnecors (red) from ACT wouldn't know if that waa the best deal, but went red as colour matched with car, and Tim is very helpful generally all round that morally I feel I have to give some business out of my wallet........ now gone MBE route currently on black leads, looking to change in near future.....
red hoses
a step to far ,,, black is good

The Moroso replacements have been on coming up to 5 years now without problems.
If you look at these I was advised to get the 135deg boots to kink the leads away from the exhaust. I couldn't get these but haven't had issues.
The come in Red
If you get them you will need the cutting tool. It's a proxy looking thing in plastic but bloody useful.
And remember, measure twice, cut once !

It's Magnecor red for me. have had them 5 years this summer, never missed a beat, superb quality. The manufacturer could not have been more helpful; I contacted them enquiring after additional 'clips' to make the installation much neater, they sent another set completely free. Like all products on the market, there will those for and those against. Myself I can only comment from my own experience. Regards, Pete
The wire colour is not the whole story- the leads resistance and insulation thickness changes with the colour, so red it the thickest lead, with the lowest resistance core, designed for very high performance engines with very high compression, and high power ignition systems, not your average TVR motor. Thick leads are harder to route, and low resistance can lead to more spikes being generated in the ignition primary, so chose carefully. If you are stuck on Magnecor the black range are the best technically for stock road engines.

Did we leave it hanging in the tree in France in the end or did we recover it? The Moroso replacements have been on coming up to 5 years now without problems.

Moroso so much better than Magnecor. Every set of Magnecors had an issue (tested by V8D for me ) and it is was noticeably better running Moroso, plus you cut them to the length you want, you get 135 degree ends by choice and they just last and last and last .... Plus they cost less.
