In need of an engine block!
Discussion
Hi guys,
A local workshop just destroyed my Griffith 500 engine block when converting to Top Hat liners! They just called me and almost cried on the phone. You can imagine my reaction. Of course they will compensate me, but still I need to find another block...
Does anyone have a block to spare, including bearing caps? The state of the liners is not of importance, they are going to be replaced anyway. Good camshaft bearings is a bonus.
My block is from 1995, don't know the differencies between the years. And are 4.0, 4.6 and 5.0 the same? As I understand the bore is 94.00 on all, but does anything else differ?

Thanks, I've just e-mailed John Eales and V8 Dev.
Well, I will let another workshop do the work this second time, and let the first one pay + compensation. Hoping to walk out of this mess with new top hats at an unbeatable price...
