One of my spot lamps is cracked and I need to replace it. I know you cannot get hold of the Cibbie units anymore and I know this is going to sound strange but I am not overly keen on the replacement units which seem much more shiney than the old ones and don't have that frosted look. Whenever I see a car with the replacement units I think they stand out a bit too much.

I have a random picture I stumbled across a while ago form the internet, I have no idea who took it or who owns the car. I think it may have been taken at TAG. I am not normally a fan of cosmetic changes, however this I really like. Any ideas what those spot lights are or even better who owns the car?

Good spot Mark, thanks for that.

Not so sure on the idea now I have seen this angle as they are not flush and I am a fussy bugger. hmmmm scratchchin

I will have to have another look at David's car, hopefully at Bughley this weekend. Also wouldn't mind having a closer look at his 7" light conversion.

Matthew, if you do plan to stick with the Cibie units there are near identical replacements available. I've just been through this myself. I don't have the part number to hand but I'll post it tomorrow. They are Cibie's, flat faced, same diameter and fit the same mounting bracket. They do have a different electrical connector, but that was easily modified. Approximately £55 each inclusive of VAT.

Yes please Graham, that would be great. I would like to keep the cibbie units if at all possible but just not 100% happy with replacement units available at the moment.

Hi,

Sorry for the delayed reply. I've added the details to this thread so that I could round off the question I asked a while back.

Hope it's helpful, let me know if you need any further info. smile
