freeing off clutch after long stand
Discussion
clutch plate has rusted to flywheel with standing - other than driving unsympathetically with pedal down, any other options?
i have heard on some cars (TT) you can easily prize them apart with screwdriver through an inspection whole for example
pedal feels normal, so not expecting it to be cylinders (will check slave movement when up on stands)

Hi CV, not the Griff but I have freed off other classic cars in the past by putting the rear (if RWD) onto axle stands, starting vehicle, let it warm up, dip the clutch and hold it down, then gently apply footbrake releasing frequently, also may need to just gently 'cadence' the brakes. In all circumstances clutch has eventually freed itself for me. Hopefully when free run with clutch in then bring up to biting point a few times with handbrake on, all very slow and gently just to run the surfaces in again.
