After 17 years, final goodbyes said yesterday. Off to a new home in France. Many glorious, mad, happy memories that will endure. Its's been a blast! Adios for now

That must have been a difficult decision after such a long ownership.

What is going to replace it?

That is indeed a Very long term
owner ship! Must be a terrible wrench letting it go ?
Had my one almost 9 years......just Where has the time gone ??

A nice looking blue 95 model, has just been listed on Car and Classic, it's had just One owner since 1999, looks like it's been off of the radar for all these years, must be a real wrench letting it go.
But I suppose as their owners get older, more and more tucked away Griffs, will come out of the woodwork.

I had my 350iFHC for nine years and still miss it even though I sold it 13 years ago.

The Ex Mrs Big DUNC hated the 350i, for all sorts of reasons. I have always found it a bit ironic that I had to sell it to pay for the divorce lawyer......

It was my every day car for a large part of those nine years, as well as doing sprints and track days.

B131ODL where are you now?

I feel your pain Dunc. I would have lost a 3.2 Careera in my Div had I not sold it soon before, but my subsequent nervous breakdown cost me Far more, inc two Series 1 E Types ( one with factory hard top ) a 3.2 Careera and a 98 R1, plus of course my biz and my house and also nearly my Life, but hey ho.....

Ouch. Glad you are OK now though. Cars can always be replaced, but nearly loosing your life isn't good.

In my case, I buy did my Griff just before my divorce (so I had two TVRs for a year - which was nice while it lasted). I have now had that for 14 years, and as said by others, I cannot imagine selling it. Indeed the new Mrs Big Dunc loves the Griff and if truth be known, drives it more than I do, so it really is part of the family.

Mind you, I do remember telling someone that I would never sell the 350i, and then a year later....

Moral of story, happy wife = easy life (&vice versa) and so if wifey likes the car, I can justify spending time and money on it.....
