Hi everyone,

I am trying to track down my fathers car. He had a 4.3 that I think he bought it new in 1992 from Mole Valley TVR when it was based in Chessington. It was mica blue, magnolia interior, black roof and with the Oz split rims.
Reg number was J165 GGK

He sold it in early 1997 when he and my mother decided to buy a farm and the car had to fund the build of a new kitchen. I can’t say that to this day any true delights have ever come out of that kitchen, my mother often mistaking ground coffee for gravy granules. I think even she will freely admit that cooking isn’t her strongest suit. However, she likes the nice kitchen.... so money well spent!

Anyway, if anyone knows there whereabouts of the car or it’s history in the last 20 years I would love to know.

If I have managed to upload photos correctly, here’s a little throwback of my old man on track circa 1994.

Cheers,
Dan

I tried to find out the car's MoT history and get the DVLA error message. So it may be in the process of a registration number change or export.

Check that the registration you entered is correct"

The Mot issue is down to the cars location.....they have a different MOT system.
I’m sure Daniel will be along to explain all once he’s been in contact with the owner.

Ah that'll be why. It has a UK legal MoT but a different database. NI.

Hi David, we spoke at lunch today.

I had a fantastic chat with the current owner and it’s great to know the car is being loved. He has had it since 2002 which is amazing in itself. Really pleased to have found it.

Thank you to everyone for helping me find it! I happen to be going to a wedding which is relatively near the car’s location in March, so if we can manage to fit it in I will drop by to see it.

Indeed!!

Dave (das2000m), if I see you at a meet one of these days I must buy you a beer mate. That car is the reason I have mine. I was 7 years old when my father sold it but I remember the smell, the sound and the whale tail of the centre console at about the same height as my head when I was sat in th seat

Anyway great community, cheers.

I bet you don’t get this if you join the 911 club...
