I've started getting a loud resonance from the front of my Griffith.

It only occurs around 1500rpm and more commonly when loading the engine by accelerating. .
I have also managed to induce it with the car stationary.

It's sufficiently loud such that made me jump and initially thought was like a blowing exhaust but now sure it's something resonating loudly.

I'm going to further investigate and see if can induce when up on ramps but just asking the question regarding anyone else had experience of this because there's nothing new under the sun as they say.

Up on the ramp with someone inside pressing the loud pedal, and you can soon work it out.
It will be one of any number of bits loose and resonating.
Could also be something like a broken drop link allowing the ARB to vibrate against the metalwork.

Pulley fouling the underneath of the top hose off take on the swirl pot. Caused by failure of the N/S engine mount made worse when engine torque 'lifts' the engine. Check for polished edge on rim of pulley.

A Griff owner had a loud noise from the front of his car and it turned out to be a loose catalytic converter which had come loose inside the exhaust. Long shot but possible?

Got it up in the air and the exhaust is touching the chassis leg at the front where it drops down through/by the n/s leg.
Amazing how much noise it transmitted through to the car.

Think I'm also going to have to tackle box out & sort the rear crank oil seal after being under there.

Thanks for the replies.

I've had Peter pry-bar on the mounts and all is good. I then used him to manipulate the exhaust position slightly after loosening the clamps.
