Griffith 500 cooling fan advice please
Discussion
Sorry for the very basic question -
With a normal / standard factory set up , do the cooling fans overrun for a while once the car is turned off please ?
I ask because I have had a Griffith that had fans that overran for a while , but my current car stops the fans dead when the ignition is turned off. I would much prefer if they overran for a while.
Many thanks in advance for any advice.

Thanks for your replies. In all honesty I’m not sure what my previous Griffith had fitted. When I turned the ignition off The fans ran for a full cycle which seemed like a great idea. I just wondered if it was normal or if my current car should be doing it but for some reason wasn’t.
Now I know it’s normal for the fans to stop with the ignition turned off I’ll go with that.
Thanks again. Best regards.

Leave a hot engine to cook wiring and heat the cabin on turn off, um, I know I would prefer a run for one cycle. If you rewire so the fans are on a permanent supply, if they come back on, the alarm will go off. Now I know it’s normal for the fans to stop with the ignition turned off I’ll go with that.
Thanks again. Best regards.
