Veneer replacement
Discussion
I've recently reveneered a Chimera Dash and radio panel for a friend, it's easy enough to do, sand off the old veneer with 60 grit paper on a random orbit sander, degrease thoroughly, apply a layer of epoxy adhesive to the dash and position on the veneer, apply weight over night. I then sanded the veneer gently with 240 grit, sealed it with sanding sealer, , another light sand with 240 grit, tack rag off to remove any dust then 4 coats of 2k lacquer. Machine polish if needed .
When I can post pictures (newbie, cant upload anything for 2 weeks) I'll upload some, I've done a few Lotus dashboards over the years as well

All finished. Thanks for recommending TVR Mads. Having spent 32 years building Rolls Royce and Bentleys the quality is excellent. It was a great DIY project with a few issues to rectify, faulty LED and cracked fuel gauge. Learnt lots and gave me time to improve things and would be a lot quicker next time. The biggest problem was with the dashboard looking so good it made the steering wheel look tatty so I did that as well.
