Hot Start problem finally fixed
Discussion
Since a recent body lift chassis restoration a few problems arose the most difficult to identify being an inability to start when the engine was up to temperature. After weeks trying to locate the fault it was finally found but the cause was most unexpected:

Interesting one, thanks for sharing.
In your case, it seems the car was cranking over OK when hot, but not starting? It's often the case that the car is dead when hot, pointing at immobiliser issues. Mine sometimes turns over slowly when hot, but does start, and I've wired in an additional start relay.

Morning, what the the small boxes tie-wrapped to the coil on the website picture?https://www.bertram-hill.com/hot-start-problem.htm...
They contain the two feedback resistors from the coil to the tach and ECU. I tidied up the wiring that drapes over the front of the engine it is far too long and put the resistors in the boxes for protection. The boxes were part of mounting hardware for IKEA kitchen LED lights that were not necessary but were just right for this.
