Has anybody any Idea where you can purchase an Alcon Big Brake kit for std 15" wheels as per:-

https://matthewpoxon.wordpress.com/2015/07/26/brak...

Can't get hold of David Gerald Sports cars or Classic Racing!

TIA

I cannot help you with regards to Alcon, but why not take a look at the AP Racing Kit offered by Reyland. They have a set designed to fit under 15 inch wheels too.

I bought my 6-pot AP racing kit from them, and they were a delight to deal with.

Andrew.

Thanks, If I can't find the Alcon ones and a price for them, then will be going AP from Reyland.

Hi Robin,

I cannot help you with regards to Alcon, sadly I don't think there's much left of DG/classic World racing frown

But ! would be interested in buying your old brake calipers if they are the 260mm disc type. they make a nice easy upgrade for the S series cars that had little 240mm discs.

Has any one got experience feedback on this kit:

I've got the Oz racing "Imola?" split rims on a 1992 pre cat Griff and also interested in understanding what brake upgrade options are available.

I have the David Gerald Brakes. They are on 295mm x 24mm discs. They are very good brakes. They are adapted where the front of the calipers is milled off. I have Camille Gotti wheels and there is not much room around the edge of the inner wheel.
