oil recommendations for 5.2 SC Griffith

Trying to catch John Eales anybody aware of the oil JE uses after run in on his rebuilds or any recommendations on 5.0ltr TVR oil to use .Ive feeling semi synthetic but what grade, Cheers jim

I can't help much but from what I've seen many people use Valvoline Racing VR1 20/50 even in cooking motors.
I'd double check first obviously.
