Pre Cat fuel sender

Hello.

Can some one tell me please if the sender in the pre cat Griffs (the ones located on the side of the tank) is a standard Landrover part or whether TVR messed about with the design before fitting ?

Unfortunately the TVR messed about with it. The fitting is the same but the resistance scale was altered to suit the Stuart Warner gauge.
I found a unit that fitted but the scale was wrong, 0-300 ohms. I was advised to put a resistor in the circuit which sort of worked.
The original resistance is approximately 10-240 ohms I think. Sorry but it was a long time ago.

Thanks for the info. My own research since posting suggests that the Stewart Warner gauge was set for 240 ohm to 33 ohm and Stewart Warner appear to do a top mounted rated the same. Will contact them to see if I can confirm. The question comes about as I have a slight leak at the sender and this side location is a right pain so I’ve decided to try and source a new aluminium tank with a top mounted sender same as the 500 had other than the fuel sender so just need to find someone who can make me one.
