Anyone know for sure if Mini Van doors are the same size/shape as normal doors on the...shall we call them...saloon's !?!?

Unless you mean the rear doors(!) then, yes ,they are identical to all Mk1 and Mk2 doors, i.e., they have outside door hinges and sliding windows.
