RRS Brakes and Battery
Discussion
Hi All,
Posting this on behalf of a friend.
His RRS is in at a main dealer at the moment after the alternator failed last week, all fairly straight forward so far.
They have just been on the phone to say the battery also needs replacing, which is not unsuspected as it got so hot you could hardly touch it, however they want £395.00 for a new one
that seems way over the top to me.
They have also advised him the rear pads need replacing, these were changed (by a main dealer) around 4000 mile ago when the electric handbrake failed and locked on.
Rears are down to 5mm, seems to me there might still be a fault with the brakes, what do you guys think?
They won't replace the pads under warranty as they are a consumable, however the guy doesn't drive like a loon or have a tow bar fitted.
They have shown him a video of the pads, so that's not under dispute, but should they really wear down that quick?
