Evoque SD4 Breather Valve-Oil in air intake
Discussion
Hello guys, need your thoughts on an issue that has been going for about a month now.
My car is a RR Evoque 2014 SD4 , and when it went for service (not LR mechanic) my mechanic discovered oil in the air intake advising that the breather valve needed replacing as oil through the air intake could easily damage the turbo. When the car was taken to LR they said that its not that big of a deal and that it's normal for some oil to be in the air intake. When i've insisted they eventually changed the breather valve. Today, the car was taken back to my mechanic and upon removal of the air intake , there was still oil in there. Note that the oil level keeps going down.
My questions are:
1. Should there be any oil in the air intake?
2. If no, then why since the breather valve was changed by LR there's still oil going through the air intake and in the turbo?
