Disco 4 boot divider recommendations?
Discussion
We're picking up a Disco 4 on Sunday all being well. Can anyone recommend a boot divider? Idea is to be able to put our dog on one side (separate but not in a cage as such) and luggage on the other. Travall seem to do them, not sure how securely they fit though, looks just like a friction fitting rather bolting/latching on to anything
I know you said - no to a dog cage.....however...
You really can't beat a transk9 box, in a disco 3/4.
It fits perfect and still allows one of the 3rd row seats to be used.
We took the door off ours, dog loved it, made him feel secure, stable and protected from all the luggage, bikes, camping gear etc we carried around.

The Travall system comes in 2 sections - the dog guard and the divider. The dog guard is mounted by adjusters onto the pillars and then the divider hooks over the top of the guard with adjustable tensioners so top and bottom to the roof/floor that make it secure - I've the same system on my X3 and it's a decent system. I bought my Travall setup secondhand for less than half the new price BTW. A dog crate is the other suggestion & you can take it out more easily, though it might not have the same ventilation benefits as a dog guard/divider if your pooch gets warm easily.
Travall system is very good and it we have travall guards in both the D3 and the C-Max.
I drilled new mounting holes in the D3 guard so the decider could be moved further over to one side. We had a greyhound and the only space we really needed was for buggy and a few shopping bags. He used to need a lot of spaces.
I personally think those travel crates look a bit horrible for the dog, but I know lots of people use them and will protect the dog quite well I a car crash.

I had a divider initially but went to dog box. You'll soon get fed up with mud and slobber on the rear screen/ side window.
it's also easier/ quicker to take out if you need to flatten all the seats to collect something big.
With the box everything is contained and I actually think my two are happier in it
