Struggling to remove rear wiper from it's arm on 2012 Westminster. It's badly corroded and I can't see the 'tab' referred to in the manual which I'm supposed to press to release the blade.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

I've just replaced the rear blade on my 2012 Westminster. It should be straight forward as it's just a standard arm with a 'walking stick' end. There should be a small tab in the middle of the J part of the arm which you press & the blade should push along the arm & unhook. Daft question but have you got the arm 'parked' onto the screen ?

Thanks for the reply.

I have the arm in the vertical position so it's easy to pull it off the glass and manouevre it but can't get the blade to release.

It's possible the tab has corroded so the next step might be to remove the arm from it's spindle.

The tab is part of the blade & should fit into a small square hole on the arm so it should be possible to push a screwdriver into the hole to release the blade if the tab is missing.

Thanks Phil, I tried that without success and finally took a hacksaw to it !

Two minutes later, new one fitted and job done.

Cheers.

Glad you got it sorted. They seem to get a bit covered in crud with them been tucked up under the rear spoiler. The jets on mine where blocked, I took me ages to find where they were !
