L405 Face lift 2018 grill on pre face lfit car - HELP

Hi there,
I have a 2014 LWB Autobiography and have seen many people install an OEM 2018 face lift grill onto their pre-face lift cars, giving a much refreshed looked to the front end. Has anyone done this to their car, can any OEM face lift grill be installed to a pre face lift car or is there a specific grill (part number) you need?

is is easy to fit yourself or better to get installed by a customs workshop?

Any assistance in this would be great.

According to Powerful uk the 2018 grille will not fit earlier cars.
I have not seen anything to the contrary but I may be wrong.

There are aftermarket grilles available that have the look of the later facelift ones but will fit pre facelift vehicles. It’s just a case of finding them. Most are usually sold on EBay. For example something like this has the look of a later Autobiography car but will fit earlier cars:
