L405 door trim replacement

I managed to open my driver’s door into a low tree branch & have bent the gloss black trim that sits on the outside lip of the door. Essentially what would have been chrome on an older car.

As it’s soft aluminium it bent easily, but bending it back has cracked the gloss black outer layer.

I plan to buy a new one:





But wondered if anyone here had replaced one and had any tips.

If not I’ll just pry the old one out & refitting will hopefully be self explanatory.
