3.0 sc vogue SE

hi everyone

I didnt even realise that a 3.0 petrol was an option on an older FFRR, seems they are quite rare....... are there any issues with these engines in the same way that there are issues with the diesel variant in 3 litre format.....

No, totally different engine derived from the V8.

apparently same block at V8 just with two cylinders blanked off.....

lol so is it a decent engine or has it got issues? The one I’m looking at has done 50k miles……

They don’t seem to be problematic, but I’d go V8.

is that from a personal perspective ie you just like the way it drives? it just so happens that the car is the right colour I like, if it was v8 I would still be interested but the 3.0 would im sure be fine for my needs just pootling around etc and some motorway work at 80mph twice a year to France......

I think the extra grunt wouldn't be worth the extra fuel for me......
