Intermittently I get the electrics on the RH side of the landrover 2A all pack up, so no indicators, headlight, or brake lights.. I still havent been able to track down the fault yet... any likely earth spots or similar I have missed..?

Not sure this really helps your current predicament but we ended up rewiring my S2A as the whole loom looked like brown spaghetti! It wasn't that hard really....
