I've got an empty property for about 8 weeks, do I still have to pay standing charges for gas and elec if off and unused?
The local council give 1 month 100% discount on council tax.

Check your insurance, there will be a maximum allowed void. Just ring them and let them know if it goes over. Don't leave it to chance.

usually 30 days, but don't panic....cover doesn't become void (usually) it just drops to FLEA (Fire, Lightning, Explosion, Aircraft) cover
