Hi anyone in here help me with this ?

Basically small business wanting to grow and have one van just now through company rental account with Arnold Clark on our own insurance but need fleet insurance to take on another van and they are being pedantic about us having a business account without said fleet policy

Don’t need anything fancy cover for a transit custom and a Citroen Berlingo ASAP

Thanks

We use Gallagher as a broker and the insurance is through Allianz, we add and remove quite often and it's really straightforward.

Can provide contact details if needed.

We can help with this.

I’ll drop you a pm….although fleet cover with two vehicles is a very small pool of insurers

We pay yearly, get a refund when we remove something and pay the adjusted premium up to the date of renewal when we add. It may not be the most cost effective way of doing it but it insures is in 3 ways;

- Any driver on the insured vehicles (age restrictions on some);
- Any company driver can drive any vehicle loaned or hired to the business with our permission;
- Any driver can drive any vehicle vehicle loaned or hired to the business with our permission.

To my mind that covers anyone to drive anything, not that we've tested the wording, but for our purposes, anyone being allowed to drive our vehicles is great.

We have an Aviva Mini-Fleet policy. I can't say it's great value for money as it's bloody extortionate (2 vehicles, 5 drivers: £5200p/a).

The nickname for Tradex is the insurer of last resort, avoid unless you have no choice.

You used to need four vans or cars for a fleet policy, you can mix them if you need to in order to get to the four.

I would use a local broker, you presumably have some commercial insurances, employers liability at least.

Thanks for the business buddy, I can’t take all the credit, it was Chloe who did it all. She’s brilliant with fleets
