Up until recently I've been relatively impressed with my Evri business account - the account manager could usually solve problems quickly and despite the bad reputation the vast majority of our parcels arrived in time and in good order.

We despatch 100-150 parcels a week, but they are relatively bulky. We have had 3x collections a week for over two years.

This week its all gone south very quickly. Our collections have been cancelled with no warning by 'the vans team'. I was passed to a new account manager a month ago, and it turns out they are part of an 'email only' team, so I can't speak to them in person. They are an apprentice, and their curt, short responses are coming across as rude and petulant. I'm remaining professional with my emails, but I would prefer to speak to someone in person as its always easier to communicate that way. Their only explanation was that the collections are too expensive (but I've already paid for them and they haven't given me any warning of this) and when I asked about the lack of notice the reply was 'this was miscommunication' - which is ironic because there hasn't been any communication...!

I have calls scheduled with DPD and Royal Mail this afternoon, but I fear they will be significantly more expensive, which makes things difficult going forward. 95% of our sales are online.

I've spoken to 2 other similar sized businesses in the area and they have also had their collections cancelled. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Is anyone else experiencing this? Has anyone successfully moved away from Evri and how has it panned out for you?

We're a much smaller user than you and for a long time used UK Mail which was taken over by DHL and trade as DHL eCommerce (as opposed to DHL Express). We've used them for years and they've always been pretty good - up until the recent merger with Evri. We now get missed collections, late or part deliveries and it's a shambles. I don't know if Evri took over this part of DHL or DHL took over Evri but either way they seem unable to cope.

I had a really good phone call with DPD but unfortunately we can't hit their weekly minimum collection. We can easily do it averaged over the year but they wouldn't budge sadly.

Hope you can get it sorted out. It's a menace when you can't rely on your delivery service.

Why would you want to be associated with (probably) the worst delivery company in the UK?

Strategic partnerships are important and tell your clients who you associate with

I wouldn’t buy from anyone that uses Evri. I’d rather pay more and receive the orders.

I’d take notice of the reputation point. We have a terrible experience with Evri - more time than not deliveries are late, lost, say they’ve been delivered and haven’t and other less than perfect service.
It’s become a joke - delivery by ‘never evri’.

My point is that given the choice of supplier, if on is offering evri and the other by a different carrier, we’d pay more just to avoid the evri roulette. If you are using them there’s a good chance customers aren’t using you because of it. Delivery performance reflects on the retailer as much as the carrier.

Yip we're the same, however alot of business sellers esp on Ebay don't stipulate who their courier is
