Hi

I am looking for someone who can carve decorative fittings for 17/18th Century model ship kits. The carvers I have/use at the moment are monumentaly expensive (compared to the carvers our competitors use), so very restrictive. I need someone who can carve stuff like figureheads, stern decoration etc at 1:72/64th scale. The carvings then need to be cast in white metal, where ‘masters’ are made, some for myself to complete the prototype model, and a set to be sent to Italy to be added to the production moulds for the kit.

If anyone can, or knows anyone else who can do this sort of thing, please get in touch.

Thanks

Chris

YHM

(I can't carve but I have an idea, depending on how much you're paying for the carving.)

Hi Chris,
TBH I've never tried it but I'd like to know more and try to make a value judgement. Perhaps you could mail me with the full brief/spec/how-to?
