Just a quickie, accountant is on holiday atm.

Can I offset a CG Loss against my personal tax?

Ie, bought some shares, sold some shares for a loss.. is there anything I can do with this loss on my Self Assessment.

Can't be offset against income.

Should be able to carry it forward unless you've used the loss against gains in the period.

Yep, offest against other gains in period or future gains.

Some CGT losses cannot be offset against anything.

thanks guys.

Thought it was too good to be true.. shame.. the loss would've eaten a large chunk of my exposure (damn tech stocks!)

Enjoy
