Car insurance help - hire or reward

I am in the process of setting up a small business. Part of this involves lending customer's a car, which we will have to insure.

Can anybody point me towards a broker who deals with insurance companies who allow 'for hire or reward'? My current broker has only 1 company on their books, but they want upwards of £7k for a very modest car.

Any suggestions gratefully received - especially if its a PH broker I could push some business towards.

I don't know if this is any good to you, but we use these www.universalig.co.uk for some of our short term insurance work. It's all web/telephone based and very easy to use.

Thanks for that - I'll investigate!

We were hoping to be able to buy a more 'blanket' policy rather than do things on a completely ad-hoc basis - and potentially have to turn people away. A traders policy is another thing we were looking at but we aren't traders as such.

Another vote for UniversalIG.

Very impressed when I looked at their site & when they finally called back offered some good rates - nice touch is that you can generate PDF loan agreements & cover notes online.
