Software to Run Ebay Type Sales Business

My brother runs a business where he sells dozens of items on a Ebay style auction site (third party). Is there some decent software out there which can make his book keeping a little easier.
He also hire out equipment long term so something to diary cc billings and track sales data would be a bonus too.
