Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help me, tried a bit of research so far but without much success.

I'm not 100% sure its a matter of public record (although aren't all court cases??) but I want to track down the name and address of those ppl in my local area how have just been the subject of a county court judgement for bad debt etc. Alternatively I'm also interested in the name and address of those ppl who have just been divorced.

Does anyone know how I can get easy access to court records or how to go about my quest to find this info?

Thanks for your time,

Tim.

There must be ways, because on the few times (in business) I've been on the wrong side of a judgement I've had parasitical scum ringing me up offering "help".

...no offence intended

I wonder if, in those instances, the court might pass the details onto the parasitical scum for a "small gratuity".

When I had my car crash a couple of years ago, I was contacted by an ambulance chasing pondlife of a solicitors who had been passed my details by my insurance company.

As a debt recovery company we have access to this and more detailed information. However we would never pass on this information to third parties. It also probably falls under the remit of the data protection act.

As far as I am aware you can only track credit ratings of companies rather than individuals. As mentioned above an indivdual's personal details would come under the data protection act.

Parasite!

The only reason anyone would need that info is to sell finance at extortionate rates to those in precarious positions. People like you make me sick!

So before I jump to conclusions, what do you want this information for? It's a mighty strange request.

He hasn't replied for nearly a week, so whatever the reason it can't have been important

Well it was important at the moment but now he's realised that perhaps we won't help him.

Iffy request imo.

Perhaps it was the "parasitical scum" thing that put him off

Sounds like you are fed up with all the offers you get for extortionate rate finance.

Perhaps I'm a charity worker looking to send them all M&S vouchers for xmas. ;-)

There are many angles for business, not all of them have to involve sharp practice or be unethical. Not that I am against finance companies either, its all about risk and reward.

Anyways, thanks to those who replied. I have now found the info I need, for future reference if anyone is interested you can indeed buy personal data of those with recent CCJ's etc. :-)

Cheers.

Yes of course, the details of the unfortunate sold on by parasites to parasites.

M&S vouchers my arse. If you were a registered charity then this isn't the information needed to donate to the needy. If you wish to talk bollox then pick an organisation that doesn't already have established practises in place to help charitable organisations.

Why not tell the truth or are you ashamed of your despicable practice of preying on the unfortunate and those in desperate position that believe you are helping them instead of screwing them.

unfortunate - a person who suffers misfortune.

misfortune - unnecessary and unforeseen trouble resulting from an unfortunate event.

having a CCJ directly equates to being unfortunate, misfortune, and bad luck.

having a CCJ can also be related with being stupid as well, but we wont go there.

you've missed off the vast majority....those who don't care. Believe me!

It never ceases to amaze me the number of people who have a CCJ on their record for a couple of hundred pounds....I mean if you're going to do it, you may as well make it worthwhile!

So, sorry. While I will agree that some people fall on hard times. If they are reasonable/respectable/law abiding etc then it is very unlikely that those hard times will result in a CCJ.....if however they are none of the above, and have come unstuck while "working the system" then they are often left in a position where there is simple no more credit left in the pot, so they have to take the CCJ. No luck involved there, good or bad.

All of the above is obviously only my opinion and based on my own experience.....
