Off Road Centres

Does anyone happen to know what planning permissions are required for off-road centres ?

I am interested in buying a 10 acre plot which has come up near my house, with intend to open such a venue, but are not aware of any requirements, etc.

I am not really interested in the returns on the business, as the land will be worth its value alone & would use the site for my own pleasure, ie quad biking, etc, and even for entertaining of clients from my other businesses.
