Hi

i will shortly be launching a new website which will sell artwork as mobile phone wall paper downloads.
I have a number of artists waiting to join, but ive also got a few that would like to see a contract before they say yes.
Ive never really written a contract as im only 19, not really sure where to start with it.
Im guessing all i need is just a simple letter written up with the terms etc, on which we both agree on.

any help or advice from someone that knows would be great

thanks
tom

Sorry mate there's only one piece of advice here. Get yourself to a lawyer and pay for some decent advice tailored to what you are trying to achieve. This is not the time for DIY jobs unless you want to get yourself shafted further down the road. Good luck with the website.

Tom - how are you going to market and charge for this service?

PM me if you want to have a chat.

Tonker has it! Naughty, but effective!

I reckon that £500 spent on legal fees here will stand you in good stead going forward. Do NOT try to do this on a DIY letter. You will regret it down the line.

"What if some of it is ripped off from someone else and they come after you?" - this is particularly important.
