Oh yes indeed.
I simply cannot conduct any business in the afternoon unless ive had 'my walk' around Nottingham’s Lace Market for a spot of 'window shopping' esp. this weather!

I'm surprised you get time for lunch all the posting on ph you have to do

I eat at my desk unless I have have to be somewhere. We try and drag everyone out for a pint on fridays as it is good to get everyone out for an hour.

I often meet customers at lunchtime as it is a good excuse to get them out of their office into neutral territory where they relax a bit more (and sometimes let good into out).

Interesting one.

Us Brits love to say I work 50 hours a day, haven't taken a holiday for 28 years and don't take lunch.

I sometimes do, sometimes don't. But...it is important to take time out.

If I go to the gym at lunch I work much better in the afternoon. Just clears your head, I always make the people I work with nip out for a break, just a walk round the park.....so what if it's force 10 and snowing...TAKE A WALK...they appreciate it

Probably not, during my employed years my record was 3.5 hours and an essential part of the day.

Amazing how your outlook changes when its your money isnt it?

As a contractor I keep meticulous records of my timekeeping, and at the turn of the millennium I did an analysis of my timesheet record for the previous decade. Over that entire ten year period, even after factoring in holidays, I AVERAGED over 60 hours per week. As I DID actually take holidays I am obviously a slacker!

I don't think I've had a lunch break for at least 6 months. Mrs Byte makes me sandwiches to eat at my desk, but if I get up early then I usually work through the day and forget to eat. I rarely drink tea/coffee either.

I guess it helps combat my beer belly, so it must be a Good Thing .

(But I did get a haircut today whilst paying money into the bank)

I was EASILY the laziest person I knew, before kicking off my own thing. Im now the hardest working person, imho.

Its nothing to be proud of. Hats off to those who play hardest and have the most free time, working smart is more admirable than working hard.

Still working now

Who takes a what? I don't understand... what is a break? Lunch - I've heard of that. It's a meal isn't it. I may have had one of those once - before I set up business.

Only kidding. A key part of bulding a working relationship with a new client is identifying who likes a pint of ale in the middle of the day.
