Hello people.

Im am travelling to Poland in September for a year long work placement in the city of Poznan. Whilst im out there i intend to start up a company and buy property through it. I have some friends who have already done something similar and they have given me plenty of hints and tips. I am currently researching all the relevant legalities regarding purchasing and letting in Poland.

The reason for this post is to ask for any advice people may have to offer. This is quite an ambitious project and i wish to take it very seriously whilst im out there.

Cheers

(just to note i learnt Polish as a second language since i was born so that shudnt be too much of a problem apart from the real complicated legal documents etc for which ill use a translator)

I know nothing about Polish corporate structures, Polish property law or Polish taxation.

You will need to find out about all of these areas not to mention how it all interacts with UK tax.

I presume you are planning on remaining resident in the UK?

Hi there,

I have been looking at Poznan very closely and in terms of cities in poland to invest, this is a very good one - or so i am led to believe!? It would be interesting talking to you Great Dane as you say you know some people who have already done this - i know a fair bit about mortgages in Poland and so on. I was going to put some money into an off plan development but couldnt quite raise the funds in time but get in touch.
