I think he means 'St Eric'.

(Which conjures up images of Eric Morecambe!!)

That's canonisation. I was playing on the word Beatification/Beautification!

Beatification is the recognition of someones assent to heaven and implies a locally restricted right to veneration!

Those who are beatified can be called "Blessed". It's a bit like an initial promotion before full sainthood - don't you just love the Catholic Chuirch.

Is that between being a saint and being chartered?

So Eric is a "chartered" accountant? And some consider him for sainthood? Didn't Leslie Charteris write The Saint novels? And wasn't his character called, Simon Templar? And was not the Templars protectors of the secret of the Holy Grail? And is not the Holy Grail the very font of Catholic mysticism? And is not EricM a Catholic?

Therefore, ipso facto, EricM is surely ..... The Saint!!!?

Well if you carry on with such loose connections he could be the antichrist in another two lines!
