I need lots and lots of things to give out free! Must be branded, looking at a range of ideas right now. Anyone in this area? Quantites will range between 20 and 100k units for the initial order.

We had connections with these at the last company I worked for, I seem to recall their prices are comparable, and it is a family run business, so they tend to be caring about the customers.

I had a free sample of this pen with my business name etc on it, they where doing 50 + 50 free for £29.99, didn't take it up but the pen is good enough quality, I would be happy with one if given away free.

Lots of other ideas aswell.

Thanks guys. I think pens are not the way to go for us, and the other company I am not sure can handle the quantity, do you think they can?

More links and suggestions please!

I love the fact you can pretty much always rely on PHers to come up with asnwers and contacts for anything one wants to find.

I was pleasantly suprised by some of their samples when I met them at a trade fair - why not request a sample, and if you aren't happy, nothing lost!

WD* - Will do. They do look very good!

Problem is we are bringing out a totally new product and are looking for something a little different to give out. So far, ideas include calculators, tourches, choclate coins etc. Has to be something people want, can be branded, will stay in a wallet or handback for a while if possible and which will grab their attention.

LOL!
Not on here yet, but should be able to in the next few days I hope. It's a payment product aimed at allowing those without access to nomraml banking or wishing not to use normal products to pay for goods and services both on and off line. Also very focussed on the gift market.

Don't know what your budget is, but what about something like a wallet or purse, or a card holder?

I can't really think of anything that I have received in the past that I have made an effort to keep other than pens. We do have a couple of toys kicking around which DN got from a trade show and gave to the baby. We have a football, and an elephant wearing a hard hat, and a friend of ours has a herd of little black spiders from one of the IT companies, which their little girl loves.

Thought of those. In reality, who uses card holders? And most of us have wallets and purses. udget not really a huge issue for the right product but personally I would not be happy going over £1.24, especilly if we are buying 100k units initially with more to follow.

what/who is your target market?

www.promotionalstore.co.uk/affiliates/product_detail.asp?prod_id=200379&affiliate_id=4366958562

I get these from Surestart a lot, and I do tend to keep them in my bag.

I like those - they look cool. We have already considered mints but these are a bit better. Research time methinks. Thanks. Any more suggestions?

Depends on your target market. Something aimed at 21 year olds wont necessarily grab the attention of a 50 year old.

There were also some little sweet tins, called clip claps or something I think, but I got the impression you bought the sweets seperately, whereas the mints are included in these, I think.

Was looking for something like this a few weeks ago, and came across theses...

www.ifsol.co.uk/home.htm

if you do a google search for 'promotional items' it comes up with quite a few.

for something that'll stay in the purse/wallet for a while, how about a branded shopping trolley token? Company I used to work for had them - the size of a pound coin with a detachable hook thing, with branding on both sides. Certainly not something that'll be thrown away...

They do some cool stuff. Will call them tomorrow and see how negotiable their prices are for the amounts I want.

nice ideaa but the problem is that I want something ideally credit card size or at least shape and aso most of our target markets sections will not be frequenting supermarkets.

Thanks for all the ideas and links so far. Much appreciated and please keep them coming.

Credit card sized FM radio perhaps? You don't want to be putting it in your wallet & sitting on it though! Send me a pm if you need more info.
