Sorry if I am in the wrong place, but I cant find any threads newer than a couple of years on this subject (unless I am blind)... Don’t moan at me I will be watching top gear on it!

I need:

A 50” plasma, and home cinema system, plus a second sound system in an adjoining large dining / kitchen room that can be hooked to the TV, plus I have 2 PCs that I want to connect into it all. Plus any other gadgets I may come across…

I plan on cutting a hole in a dividing wall for the plasma to fit into, attached to a rotating bracket / framework that lets me spin the TV between rooms, good eh!

£3-5k available to spend, must be pretty good quality stuff.

Been looking on www.richersounds.co.uk and eBay etc, but have lost touch on all this kit nowadays.

Any forums out there on this stuff, or any techie nerds on here that can advise?

Thanks!

Don

Wrong forum but...

Try AVForums for info on kit.

Our very own "derestrictor" owns a business that deals with such kit and you may wish to spend your hard earned with him.

Aso to a 50" set? I have recently obtains an LG 50" Plasma TV I am very pleased with. A very good price for an excellent piece of High Definition kit. Mine has a native resolution of 1380x768pixels.

If you can *wait* a little longer LCD TVs will shortly be available at about this size with even better resolution. 1920x1024pixels. Pixel depth is not the whole story but it IS important.

LCD offers an advantage IMO over Plasma in that it is easier to "keep". No worries about "burn-in" and so on...although this is easy enough to avoid with a plasma given that forewarned is forearmed.
