Can anyone help with a charity propsal plan, please?
Discussion
Hi business peeps,
next year Im doing a big charity trip and Ive been tasked with putting together a proposal for businesses, sponsorship in exchange for media coverage etc.
So my questions are:
What would you be looking for?
What would really grab your attention?
How would you like to be approached?
Anything else you can advise me on?
We have letters from last years sponsors saying how much business they received through the rally, our major media sponsor stating what they're offering, a good website, support from the RAF media centre who have contacts with newspapers throughout the UK.
Anything you can offer/advise me on/suggest will be gratefully received.
Thankyou

The key is to think about what you can offer businesses beyond a logo and a bit of media exposure - which is not of any real benefit. Also, think about who you are going to pitch to by sector.
For example: Let's take the food industry. Go to producers, then the people they buy from and then to those they sell to. What you can then offer is a serious networking opportunity.
Think of it as a business not a charity. Bit harsh but that's sadly the reality.
Good luck.
