at our restaurant we are starting to review all our charges and i started with our cardnet account, our charges for the last month were £268.15 based on transactions of £15,530. now this seems high to me so any suggestions?

Doesn't seem to bad to me. Most of the time on credit card transactions you pay a percentage of the value, one businesses I look after pays 2.5% for example. On debit card transactions you tend to pay a fixed charge usual pence.

Your charges work out at about 1.7% which with a mixture of fixed and percentage charges doesnt seem to unreasonable.

You should receive a detailed monthly invoice which shows all the charges broken down into differant cards, Switch, Mastercard, Visa etc.
