Be very careful. My experience is that in some cases they are selling you a dream of buying a development plot on the cheap, when the land will never be developed. In effect you are buying a single plot for the price of an acre of agricultural land. You dont have to be a genius to see that someone somewhere will be making alot of money. Do your homework, check with the local planning authorities on the prospects of the site. Dont be fooled by slick marketing campaigns & boasts that plots are being snapped up fast. Just because land near-by has been developed it doesnt mean that it will be. If it was a hot prospect even within the next 10 years or so then one of the major developers would have an option on it and Joe Public would not get a look in.
