Depends on your timeframe. Looking forwards I don't see a bright future for the dollar, it is currently largely propped up by an artificially low Chinese Yaun and the fact that oil is largely traded in dollars. Lots of pressure from Russia in particular to move oil trading into Euros, and no reason for the middle eastern producers not to take the opportunity to annoy the yanks.

Should end now by saying I am an electronics engineer and not a currency trader so feel free to ignore my ramblings. Also on a personal level I would like to be wrong as 2:1 does not make selling to the US any easier.
