We are moving, we currently have a standard redcare package which means I get dragged out of bed a couple of times per year to come into the office and kill a spider.

I've had a quote for a basic system in the new office whcih redcare, it is coming in at about £1300 plus monitoring charges.

Anothersupplier has suggested and alternative to redcare whcih is called speech dial. In the event that the alarm gets triggered the system will call me (or someone else here) and tell me whats up. I can then drive over and if I see owt going on can call the police or just go in and kill the spider

Anyone got this system?

Fairly standard addon to the traditional alarm system.

Others include Text message and email notification.

Does your insurance restrict your choice of alarm?

Mine specifically states that I *must* have RedCare installed. Without it I have no insurance

We are in negotiation, when we move we will have a lot less stuff worth nicking so we'll have to see what they say. Mind you it has taken them a week so far and they have not even managed to produce a quote on existing terms!

Or save yourself £1300 a year and just get some of this.

We have one of these . It is programmed to dial a number of mobiles and tells you what the problem is as well as providing the option to silence the bell. Ours has only gone off due to builders and no one was available to got the the property so remote silence and reset was brilliant. A little more expensive than some systems but you save a fortune on monitoring fees etc...
