I posted on here about 3/4 weeks ago regarding car leasing, i received a few emails from people who could offer it or from people who recommended other firms, which was very much appreciated. I recieved one email from a chap who claimed to have just sold his laesing compnay but still got good offers and so forth , the compnay being xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, the guy must have seen my post on here, he told me he could supply me a car on a lease from compnaies that went bust, basically take on the rest of the lease dirt cheap. I thought exellent we managed to sort out a deal and i paid a deposit for the car etc and was told a delivery date, paid the depost 3 weeks ago and was promised the car 2 weeks ago , it has supposed to be deliverd every day for 2 weeks and ive had nothing but excuses re the delivery of the car, some just a absaloute joke, at this point i have sold my own car and have been left car less with a business to run !! i am assured this will be sorted tomorow (friday) but ive been told this for a the past 2 weeks as well. I just dont know what to do ? im looking for advice from fellow PH's wot makes it even worse is this guy must be one of us !!

Next question, does anyone know any lease companies that offer lease's half way through, part way through ? from companies that have gone bust, people that have came out of leases etc any advice is much appreacited

Hi Scott,

Sorry to hear about the problems you are having. You could try these, www.swap-a-lease.co.uk . I have never dealt with them myself but they are one of the only companies I am aware of that deal in this sort of thing.

I cannot really see the advantage myself. Having had a look at some of the prices they don't even look that cheap. I would prefer to get a new car on a contract that suited my own needs.

Feel free to mail me if you would like any more advice.

nope still sitting here waiting for the email which was sent but kept bouncing back, i now think this guy is at it , and i have let him know how i feel and what i think.

will be going to the police this afternoon i think, obtaining money by deception is bascially what has happend here.

well as i said before i made my feelings elt to him this morning, he has came back to me and told me that it will defo be deliverd between 4-7pm tomorrow, has is paying £250 for someone to do this from edinburgh where the car is to kilmarnock where i am , there is a certian element of honesty about him as he keeps in contact with me and calls me a good number of times a day. i may as well give him this last chance because i cant do nothing until monday anyway regarding getting a new car or goin into the police station to report him, will update you with what happens tomorrow

Presumeably leasing companies must get loads of cars coming back early for various reasons?

I looked at www.arrowhire.com/content.php?p=livestock a while ago and although I didn't end up using them, I thought they seemed pretty reasonable for the 30K/yr full maint deal that I needed.

I notice that their live stock list is currently showing a range Rover Sport.
