likely your suspsicions are correct...but..
Its a bit of a bugger isn't it? Cos if you're a company that wants user testing for laptops etc then you might do it this way...and cos we're all cynics we'll miss out!
Guess you could judge the value of the info you're giving away vs possibility of it being genuine! (though surely with the details they have sent a websearch and phone call or two could clarify if this is actually being done?)
