Why is my iPhone showing the moon icon?

I'm confused... As far as I know, the moon icon on the iPhone denotes 'do not disturb' (DND) is active. I do not want it on at any time.

DND is turned off in the swipe down settings menu.
Smart Activation of DND is turned off.
Scheduled DND is turned off.

I have turned it off in every place I can think of, yet the moon icon still appears at various times during the day.

Any suggestions?

Have you checked under "Settings - Focus"? It's quite customisable so there may be something obscure set.

As above - Focus is on - turn that off in settings
