Google Home & Nest doorbell notifications
Discussion
We have a Nest doorbell (battery) which uses Google Home. I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to configure this such that some notifications (e.g. person or vehicle movement) are only sent when nobody is home - like an "away mode". I'm not seeing how to do this, I have enabled a setting called "Away-only Notifications" in the Notifications page of the doorbell camera settings but that doesn't seem to have had the desired effect.
Both my wife and I are admins in the home account and we both have the Home app installed on our phones. I imagine there's something else I need to do to make this work?

If you download and access it through the Nest app (not the Google Home app), there is a setting that allows you to turn off the camera when you are at home. When the camera is off then it won't be sending any notifications!
Mine is mains powered, rather than battery, but I'd imagine it has the same option.

Thanks for the suggestion. As far as I'm aware the gen2 wireless doorbell doesn't work with the Nest app, it requires Google Home - I haven't tested that, just going by what the product website says. I also don't want the camera turned off altogether when I'm at home, just don't need notified every time it detects a car or person on the driveway - 90% of the time it's either myself or my wife, I don't need told when I've just put the bins out. I still want events recorded (just in case) but don't need notified whilst we're home.Mine is mains powered, rather than battery, but I'd imagine it has the same option.
